Caffro

April 27, 1944 – August 6, 2011

Donald passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011, after battling a long term illness.

Donald was born in Rushville, Nebraska, to Louis Caffro and Pauline (Novotny) Caffro. His family later moved to Oregon where he attended schools in both Terrebonne and Redmond and met Linda Overlander, whom he would later marry in Long Beach, CA.

Don served two tours in Vietnam while in the U.S. Navy. He returned stateside and worked for the U.S. Forest Service. Don loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family.

Don is survived by his wife, Linda; and four children, Donna (Kurt) Kendrick of Prineville, Corrina Hankins, Louis Caffro and Kay (David) Horton all of Redmond.

He is also survived by his mother, Pauline McDaniel, of Redmond; brother, James (Peggy) Caffro, of South Carolina; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 945 SW Glacier Avenue, in Redmond.
