Robert ”Bob” Gill, 85, passed away on Easter Sunday. Memorial services were held April 13, 2010 at the Redmond Senior Center with Pastor Mike Kirkman and Chaplain Vern Arledge officiating.

Bob was born July 16, 1924, in Aberdeen, WA to Don and Elsie Gill.

After graduation, Bob served in the Army in WWII doing missions in China, India and Burma, serving with seven of his nine brothers.

Bob was active in Kiwanis of Redmond, holding several offices and later as Lt. Governor for the district. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Habitat for Humanity, Hospice of Redmond and Senior Center.

Bob married Helen Kinnaman May 23, 1956. His survivors include his sister, Mary Stieman of Bainbridge, WA; four brothers, Ken of Anderson, CA; Chet of Tumwater, WA; Colin of Lacey, WA and John of Shelton, WA and many nieces and nephews. Bob’s daughters from a previous marriage are Celeste and Christine Gill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; stepson David Person of Kirkland, WA; parents Don and Elsie Gill and brothers Terry, Leslie, Bill, Cedric and Bert.

Bob will long be remembered for his patriotism and service to his community and country. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy and will be missed by his many friends.
