We offer thanks for these TV ‘Hanks’

Kelsey Grammer is back on prime time with his new ABC series, “Hank,” debuting Wednesday. The former Dr. Frasier Crane plays Hank Pryor, a downsized CEO. Here are five other memorable TV Hanks.
Hank Dearborn: Forty-four years before Grammer’s “Hank,” there was this “Hank.” The sitcom starred Dick Kallman as Dearborn, a young man determined to get a college education at any cost. That usually meant “dropping in” to classes in disguise because he couldn’t afford the tuition.
Hank Kimball: Scatterbrained county agent played by Alvy Moore on “Green Acres.”
Hank Hill: “King of the Hill’s” cartoon (but never cartoonish) good ol’ boy voiced by series creator Mike Judge.
Hank Kingsley: “The Larry Sanders Show’s” unctuous late-night TV sidekick played by Jeffrey Tambor. His signature phrase was a hearty “Hey, now!”
Hank Lawson: Hamptons concierge doctor played by Mark Feuerstein on the summer hit “Royal Pains.”
