World-renowned cyclists Floyd Landis and Taylor Phinney are registered to compete in the 2009 Cascade Cycling Classic, according to race organizers.

The 30th annual CCC stage race is set for July 21-26 in Central Oregon.

Landis, 33, won the 2006 Tour de France but was stripped of his title for doping. After a two-year ban from cycling, Landis returned to race this past January at the Tour of California. The Cascade Cycling Classic will be his third race since his return to the sport. He now races for the OUCH Pro Cycling Team.

Phinney, who races for Lance Armstrong’s U23 Trek-Livestrong Team, raced for the U.S. team in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in track cycling and this past March won the world individual pursuit title. He also is the first American to win the Paris-Roubaix race for riders under age 23.

The 19-year-old from Boulder, Colo., is the son of former professional cyclist Davis Phinney and former Olympic gold medal racing cyclist and speed skater Connie Carpenter-Phinney.
