Ruth Bertha Stone

Born in Wood Lake, NB to Lewis and Bertha Hutchison, Ruth became a teacher in Valentine, NB and later returned to school becoming a Registered Nurse. She married James L. on November 29, 1934 and they made their home in Chula Vista for 38 years and Salinas for 10 years. James died in 1982. In 2003, Ruth moved to Bend, OR to be close to family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and for 53 years was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting.

Nieces surviving are: Leah Jaccard, Bend, OR; Janice McThorn, Freemont, CA; great-nieces: Lisa McThorn, Freemont, CA; Jamie Hutchison, Manteca, CA; Linda Snyder, Washington, DC; Gina Reyman and Dana Reyman of Durham, NC; and Suzanne Story of Las Cruces, NM; Nephews: James Hutchison, Manteca, CA; Dennis Hutchison, Bend, OR; Claude Reyman, Lincoln, NB; Jimmy Stone, Altaloma, CA; Bruce Reyman, Ainsworth, NB; Russell Stone, Henderson, NV; great nephews: Jimmy Hutchison, Manteca, CA; Douglas Story, Redmond, OR; Douglas Jaccard, Dublin, CA. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Ervin and Ralph and two sisters, Evelyn Crews and Edith Reyman. Private inurnment will be in CA.
