Holtby Chiropractic Center, in Redmond, is under new own-ership. Dr. Kyle Gillett will assume responsibility of the clinic, located at 725 N.W. Kingwood Ave. Gillett graduated cum laude and with the John Connelly Outstanding Graduate award from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2008. He will continue the clinic’s practice of the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association method.

Center Yoga has opened at 2804 S.W. Sixth St., in Redmond. The yoga studio offers hot yoga in 60-, 75- or 90-minute classes, seven days a week. The studio has three showers in each changing room and a 1,500-square-foot wooden studio.

Sage School of Massage has been approved to offer a professional reflexology program by the Oregon Department of Education. Denise Anson, who has been practicing reflexology for almost 15 years, will teach the program. Students must complete 220 hours during the clinical program and pass the national reflexology examinations with the American Reflexology Certification Board and the Reflexology Certification Board to become certified.

The Commercial Investment Division of the Central Oregon Association of Realtors , a member of the Commercial Brokers Association, has announced it can now list property through CommercialSource.com. The Web site allows COAR to list commercial property locally, regionally and nationally, and utilize in-depth research services.

The 919 Bond building on Bond Street in downtown Bend won a 2009 Daily Journal of Commerce Top Project Award. The award recognizes outstanding public and private buildings and renovation, infrastructure and public works projects in Oregon and southwest Washington. The building placed third in the $5 million to $15 million private building category. The building team included Taylor Pickhardt Development, Steele Associates Architects, Froelich Consulting Engineers, Interface Engineering, W.H. Pacific and SunWest Builders.

Anjou Spa and Salon, in Bend, has been named one of the top five Green Day Spas in America by American Way magazine, American Airlines’ in-flight publication. Its practices include offering and using all-natural and organic products, and biodegradable and toxin-free laundry products, reducing water through the use of Energy Star-rated appliances, tankless water heaters and water-saving fixtures, and utilizing energy-efficient light bulbs.

NorthWest Crossing , a mixed-use neighborhood in Bend, was selected as a finalist in the 2009 Urban Land Institute’s Awards for Excellence program. NorthWest Crossing is one of 25 developments chosen as a finalist based on leadership, contribution to the community, innovations, public and private partnership, environmental pro- tection and enhancement, response to societal needs and financial viability. As a finalist, it will be featured in a book “Best Practices in Development: 2009 Award Winning Projects.”

American Licorice Co. , based in Bend, has chosen to use Pacific Power’s Blue Sky renewable energy for 100 percent of its electricity needs. According to a news release, the candy company purchases 18,600 kilo- watt-hours of renewable power, equivalent to the average monthly power use of 18 homes. The company also encourages ride-sharing through an incentive program, uses compost bins in break rooms, which are picked up by bicycle couriers, and has an in-house recycling center.
