The following recalls have been announced:
Barr Laboratories Inc. is recalling 100-count bottles of 20-milligram tablets of dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate and amphetamine sulfate with lot number 311756 . The tablets could be larger than indicated, leading to super-potent doses. This could result in adverse cardiovascular, neurological, psychiatric and gastrointestinal reactions. About 51,750 Homelite, Husky and Black Max brand generators , made in China and distributed by Homelite Consumer Products Inc. of Anderson, S.C. The fuel gauge can leak high amounts of gasoline, posing a fire hazard. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled Homelite and Husky brand generators were sold at Home Depot stores and the recalled Black Max brand generators were sold at Sams Club stores. Generators in the recall have manufacturing date codes between BML306-BMM151, CHL122-CHM151 and CRL153-CRM059. The products were sold nationwide from July 2008 through May 2009. Little Tykes is voluntarily recalling 1.6 million of its workshop sets and trucks , some sold as long as 15 years ago, after an 11-month boy was hospitalized for choking on a plastic nail included with the toy, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. Five different toys are being pulled: the Electronic Project Workshop, model 0914; the Little HandiWorker Workhorse, model 0920/612237; Home Improvements 2-Sided Workshop, model 4161; Swirlin Sawdust Workshop, model 440Z; and Black Pickup Truck with Tools, model 4028. All included oversized plastic toy nails made of blue or red plastic that could cause a child to choke if swallowed. The toys were offered at major retailers, including Toys R Us, nationwide and online at various Web sites for between $25 and $100. They were sold between March 1994 and this June, but different products were available at different times.
