• Ivuti, Shimahara win at Honolulu Marathon: Patrick Ivuti won the Honolulu Marathon on Sunday, leading a Kenyan sweep of the first five spots. Running in consistent rain, the 30-year-old Ivuti finished in 2 hours, 14 minutes, 35 seconds for his first victory since the 2007 Chicago Marathon. Stephen Njorge-Kinyanjui finished second, more than three minutes back. Japan’s Kiyoko Shimahara won the women’s race in 2:32:36, beating countrywoman Kaori Yoshida by two minutes.
