Amar Renee Juslen, of Bend, died Tuesday. He was 55.

Services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Juslen was born June 5, 1952, in Torrance, Calif., the son of Amar and Juanita (Pineda) Juslen.

Mr. Juslen enjoyed swimming, watching cartoons, telling jokes and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita Dudley, of Ruby, S.C.; two brothers, Raul and David, both of Bend; four sisters, Lillian Ficco, of Bend, Carol Stream, of Louisiana, and Juanita Bryson and Andrea Elkins, both of North Carolina; and his grandmother, Andrea Pineda, of Montijo, Panama.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Deschutes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
