Energy facts

I find it almost amusing to read some of the senseless blather offered as scientific fact regarding the energy crisis we are experiencing. First of all, some of these writers are obviously “well educated”; however, in my opinion, they quite simply lack what we more experienced citizens call “common sense”!

Liberals claim to champion the little guy, but apparently they want everyone to dump their current autos and purchase a hybrid or one of those electric vehicles. So what happens to the 250 million gas guzzlers? And aren’t you the people who want to eliminate our power dams to protect fish and wildlife? So where do we get the electricity for these electric cars, as well as providing for home heating? WE are shortsighted and uneducated? I don’t think so!

The most recent claim is that we won’t see any results for 20 years if we begin drilling now. The mantra “We can’t drill our way out of this state of affairs” is a cliche that is merely being repeated by those who allow themselves to be brainwashed by those who they think are “the experts.”

I am confident that there are enough of us left who operate with common sense, along with our own research, to come to an obvious conclusion that we must explore every single avenue of energy production, including drilling for oil and working on solar, wind and nuclear power.

Incidentally, have any of you people even researched ANWR? I know you all have computers, so do your own research, and you’ll see that this area is a grain of sand in the sea of Alaska …! So you wise up.
