Domino Room hosts death metal spectacle

- The Arizona-based band Job For A Cowboy will headline a bill stacked with death metal Saturday at the Domino Room.
Over the last year or so, Bend has seen its share of metal shows, but I’m not sure any has had quite as brutal a lineup as the one coming to the Domino Room (51 N.W. Greenwood Ave., Bend) on Saturday.
The focus here is pure death metal, and the bill features Ohio speed demons Skeletonwitch, Boston-based technical kings The Red Chord, and Job For A Cowboy, a positively cortex-bruising band from Arizona.

I just took a tour of these bands’ Web sites and MySpace profiles, and all I can say is this tour will lead the world in throat-shredding growls, thrashing guitar riffs and unreadable band logos.
If this sounds like your thing, get to the Domino Room on Saturday. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., the show begins at 8 p.m., and all ages are allowed.
Tickets cost $15 and are available at the door.
