The Rotary Club of Greater Bend is asking people to nominate an educator for its Excellence in Education Award.

People whose lives have been impacted in a “special way” by a teacher, administrator or counselor from Bend-La Pine Schools should nominate that person. This person consistently demonstrates “service above self,” both inside and outside the classroom, according to a news release from the club.

Residents can get nomination forms at any school office, the district’s administrative office or through the Rotary Club’s Web site: http://clubs .district5110.org/greaterbend.

People can drop off the form at any school or mail it to P.O. Box 6561, Bend, OR 97708.

The deadline is April 4.
