Donald Clarence Corson passed away on October 18, 2008 of natural causes at the age of 89 years.
He was born on March 25, 1919 in Seattle, WA, to Amos and Norma Corson. Don married Marjorie B. Corson in 1946, in Portland, OR.
Don grew up primarily in Portland, OR, and served in the army as a staff sergeant in WWII. In 1952 he became employed by Carnation Company as a delivery driver until his retirement 30 years later. Marjorie and Don moved to Crooked River Ranch, OR, in 1982 and then to Bend, OR in 2001. Don enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and playing golf.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years and a brother, Richard Corson.
He is survived by his son, Charlie of Portland, three daughters, Carol Babcock and her husband, Jim of Crooked River Ranch, OR, Nancy Eckert and her husband, Wayne of Gaston, OR, and Donna Sweeney and her husband, Tom of Bend, OR. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
