Thelma Baker McBeth, of Newberg, died Sunday. She was 96.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Attrell’s Newberg Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church in Newberg.

Mrs. McBeth was born June 10, 1911, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, the daughter of Evan and Bessie (Phillips) Baker. She married Robert McBeth on Oct. 2, 1947, in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Mrs. McBeth was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Newberg. She lived in Bend from 1973 to 2001.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael Green, of Newberg; a daughter, Eileen Reid, of Happy Valley; two sisters, Mildred and Gladys, both of Ohio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
