Low-fat and healthy: A fish tale

Researchers from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C., recently tested 30 types of fish to determine which had the healthiest fat profile. They ranked the fish in the following order, with healthiest choices listed first, based on the amount of saturated fat, monounsaturated fat, omega-3 fatty acids and omega 6 fatty acids. The researchers said fish in the bottom tier were unlikely to convey the cardiovascular health benefits patients advised to eat fish hope to achieve.
