Sunriver opens Gingerbread Junction

A free display of more than 100 gingerbread houses called Gingerbread Junction can be seen Friday through Dec. 30 as part of Sunriver Resort Traditions.
The “home sweet homes” will be set up in the Sunriver Lodge on a “street” called Cinnamon Lane. Organizers say it’ll be the largest collection of gingerbread houses in the Northwest.
Entry fees from those who entered their creations in the competition are matched by Sunriver Resort to raise money to benefit Healthy Beginnings, a nonprofit group that provides accessible, educational and preventive screenings to children in Deschutes County. The display will be closed during Breakfast With Santa, the magic show and the variety shows.
