Clyde W. Moore, of Milwaukie, died Sunday. He was 85.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Peake Funeral Chapel in Milwaukie.
Mr. Moore was born July 12, 1921, in Cushing, Okla., to John and Allie Moore. He attended Oklahoma State University and received a master’s degree from the University of Oregon. He married Gemma Parisi in 1944 in Portland.
Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a music teacher at Redmond High School for 27 years. He retired in 1981. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the High Desert Museum, and he enjoyed golf. He lived in Redmond for 47 years.
Survivors include a son, Dennis, of Gladstone; four daughters, Hari Khalsa, of Los Angeles, Colleen Shearer, of Redmond, Pam Lewis, of Tigard, and Karen Duffy, of Grants Pass; a sister, Patsy Poffenberger; and nine grandchildren.
