Dorothy “Dot” June (McGrew) Nye, of Prineville, died Sunday. She was 73.
A visitation has been held. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville. Dr. Barry Gridley will officiate.
Mrs. Nye was born June 14, 1934, in Lakeview, the daughter of Glen and Opal (Vernon) McGrew. She graduated from Crook County High School in 1953. She married Keith Nye on Dec. 15, 1951, in Stevenson, Wash.
Mrs. Nye delivered the The Bulletin in the Prineville area and ran the Crook County High School store as a volunteer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Prineville, where she was involved in the XYZ group. She enjoyed bowling. She moved to Prineville in 1939.
Survivors include a son, Brian, of Sisters; a daughter, Carol Domme, of Medford; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.
