Trail riders can saddle up next month for a good cause.

The Central Oregon Chapter of Oregon Equestrian Trails is scheduled to host its annual St. Jude’s Ride near Sisters on June 2.

Saddle Up for St. Jude is a volunteer-based, fundraising event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in which participants take part in a horseback trail ride. All proceeds from the Sisters ride go to benefit the children’s hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Trail riders will take off from 9 a.m. to noon and cover a 10-mile course from Sisters Cow Camp, which is located approximately two miles west of Sisters on Highway 242.

A minimum donation of $10 is requested. Participants can register the day of the ride or in advance. For more information, contact Pat Marquis at 815-9398 or by e-mail at hrsnarnd@webformixair.com.
