Sept. 1-6 USGA Senior Womens Amateur at Sunriver Resorts Meadows course is the national championship for female golfers ages 50 and older with a handicap index of 18.4 or less. The starting field 132 golfers will play two rounds of stroke play before the field is trimmed to the low 64 scorers, who will advance to match play. Sectional qualifying will be conducted at 23 sites across the country from July 23 to Aug. 2. Admission for spectators is free. Sept. 6-7 Kah Nee Ta Resorts golf course in Warm Springs will be the site of a two-day pro-amateur tournament, sponsored by the Oregon Chapter of the PGA. One professional and four amateurs play 36 holes of team golf plus individual gross and net contests. Cost is $140 per player.
