Construction on a gas station at Bend’s Fred Meyer store could begin within the next three to four weeks, a company official said Friday. The gas station, originally scheduled to open by last Christmas, is now tentatively scheduled to be completed by late April or early May, said Fred Meyer spokeswoman Melinda Merrill. The completion date was pushed back due to delays in acquiring various Bend city licenses, Merrill said.
