Music fans can look to the future and peer into the past this weekend at The Grove.

Tonight is a DJ set by The Seedling Escape, made up of DJ Ooah from Los Angeles and DJ Kitty D from San Francisco. Both are card-carrying Glitch Mobsters, members of a California-based DJ collective known for deep beats, futuristic tech-hop and precise cuts and scratches.

As The Seedling Escape, these two dudes make underwater robot funk that will blow your mind, if you’re into glitchy dance music. Check out myspace.com/ theseedlingescape for a taste. (We suggest clicking on ”Sect Out LayerZ Rmx” and turning up those speakers!)

Ooah and Kitty D will light up the dance floor starting at about 10 p.m. Cost is $6.

On Saturday, you can do some prep work for the Christmas feast to come by checking out The Grove’s ’80s night, curated by DJs Lacuna and Swett, and shaking your bowl full of jelly to the sweet sounds of the Reagan years.

The retro-party starts at 10 p.m. and cost is $5, but you get in free if you show up in ’80s gear. Bust out those legwarmers and zippered jackets!

Strap on your Roos and head to 1033 Bond St., in Bend to find The Grove.
