Beckie Scott, an Olympic gold medalist in nordic skiing who lives in Bend, will give a presentation at Sunnyside Sports on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The following day, accomplished XC Oregon skier Colin Mahood will host a ski waxing clinic starting at 5 p.m. at Sunnyside, located at 930 N.W. Newport Ave. in Bend.

Scott will discuss her 2006 World Cup pursuit race in Sapporo, Japan, voicing over race footage and sharing her perspective on her World Cup victory. Scott, born in Canada, has also competed in the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan; the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City; and the 2006 Games in Turin, Italy. Scott’s gold-medal finish was in the 10-kilometer pursuit in 2002.

On Thursday, Mahood will cover basic skate and classic waxing techniques.
