The ODS Cos. – which planned to bring 120 jobs to downtown Redmond with offices and a dental hygienist school, but later expressed concerns over land costs and parking availability – has entered into negotiations with an unspecified private partner in Central Oregon, the company announced Friday. Andrew Franklin, senior vice president and chief operating officer of the Portland-based insurance company, said a final agreement likely would come within a couple of weeks, but negotiations with the private company would remain secret until one is reached. ”We have settled on a site that we intend to put together agreements on, but we don’t have final agreements yet,” he said. The site could potentially accommodate a larger, mixed-use building with a dental hygiene school, office and retail space and an appropriate level of parking, Franklin said.
