William B. Wyllie

William B. Wyllie of Crescent Lake died Monday as a result of an automobile accident. He was 72.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at his home in Crescent Lake.

Mr. Wyllie was born June 28, 1933, in Ames, Iowa, to Edward and Blanche (Dignan) Wyllie. He earned a bachelor’s degree in general science from Oregon State University in 1955 and graduated from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley in 1960. He married Marie Laboe on March 29, 1958 in Berkeley. They later divorced.

Mr. Wyllie worked as a civil law attorney. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, reading and music.

Survivors include his former wife of Salem; a son, David of Salem; three daughters, Ann Willing of Grants Pass, Caroline of Portland and Mary of Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Joyce Munn of Meadow Vista, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Baird Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
