Stanton S. Sherwood, of Bend, died Friday of heart failure. He was 92.

No services are planned.

Mr. Sherwood was born March 28, 1914, in Gilmore City, Iowa, to Ray Sherwood and Lou Smith. He married Norma Sherwood on Jan. 1, 1977, in Vancouver, Wash.

Mr. Sherwood was a millworker. He retired in 1977. He enjoyed rock hunting, fishing, hunting and traveling.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Buck, of Bend; a daughter, Geraldine Blackmon, of Twin Falls, Idaho; a brother, Miles, of Minneapolis; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
