The fete, says Ali King, owner of An Affair to Remember and organizer of the event, will showcase all there is to be had in Bend’s original retail district.
And there’s a lot to be had.
Food and beverages from downtown eateries and bars will be offered in the Riverfront Plaza tent. The bars are no-host, but the food is free with a ticket, King said. Local band Slick Side Down will perform jazz music during the social hour while models from several downtown jewelry stores will showcase jewelry. Eateries providing food include Bellatazza, Chocolate et Gateaux, Cork, DiLusso, Goody’s, Hans, La Piazza, Merenda, Mychia, the Pine Tavern and Ryan’s Deli.
When the action shifts to the Tower Theatre, local band Bond Brothers will perform and a fashion show of clothes from downtown merchants will follow. Participating merchants include At The Beach, The Blue Teal, En Vogue, Finders Keepers, Hot Box Betty, Local Joe, LuLu, Painted Pony, Pandora’s Backpack, Roberts on Wall, Santee Alley and Scheuffele’s Black and White.
Raffle tickets ($5 each or five tickets for $20) will be available for prizes including a jewelry fashion package, home fashion package and personal fashion package.
Tickets for the Jubilee are $39 or $50 for balcony seating (21 and older only), and are available at Hans, Norwalk and the Painted Pony downtown.
