Charlotte J. Sproat of Sisters died Tuesday of natural causes. She was 71.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Redmond Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Sproat was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Dayville to David and Ruby (Blitz) Ladrow. She was raised and educated in Central Oregon. She married George Sproat in 1951 in Redmond.

Mrs. Sproat worked for many years as a waitress, then manager, at The Gallery Restaurant, formerly Ruth’s Cafe, in Sisters. She was affiliated with Sisters Christian Church, the Ladies Auxiliary, Habitat for Humanity and SMART. She enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Bryan of Powell Butte; two daughters, Cindy and Tana, both of Sisters; one sister, Helen Miller of Redmond; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Redmond-Sisters.
