SUNRIVER – There’s a new director of golf on the job at Sunriver Resort.

Michael Sizemore, whose resume features stints at two golf resorts in Nevada, has assumed leadership responsibilities for the operations of Sunriver’s Woodlands and Meadows courses.

According to a news release by Sunriver, Sizemore also will oversee the retail division of the Central Oregon resort, and will work closely with Brad Myrick, club manager at Sunriver’s Crosswater course.

Sizemore, 30, replaces former Sunriver director of golf Sean Cracraft, who last month was hired as vice president and general manager for the new Suncadia Resort in Roslyn, Wash. Cracraft had served as director of golf at Sunriver for more than five years.

Sizemore comes to Sunriver after assisting the resort owners’ development of a new PGA Village golf complex in Coyote Springs, south of Las Vegas. Previously, he spent 5> years at the Resort at Red Hawk in Sparks, Nev., near Reno.

An active member of the PGA of America since 1999, Sizemore was named resort merchandiser of the year in 2003 by the Northern California PGA Section.
