Terrance ”Terry” Absher Malone of Yakima, Wash., died Dec. 9 of a heart attack. He was 51.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Malone was born July 19, 1954, in Albany to Mack and Vicki Malone. He graduated from high school in Hamburg, Germany. He served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Malone worked as a restaurant cook and truck driver. He lived and worked in Central Oregon for several years. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his companion, Anell Combs, and her children.

Survivors include his companion, Anell Combs of Ellensburg, Wash.; his parents of Bend; two brothers, Michael Absher of San Lorenzo, Calif., and Mark of Portland; and a sister, Robyn DeVoll of Sunriver.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Helen Muncie.
