Team Oregon, a motorcycle safety program sponsored by Oregon State University and the Oregon Department of Transportation, will offer two courses in motorcycle safety in Bend in September.
Each 15-hour course is held over three days. The first session is scheduled for Sept. 8, 10 and 11; the second session is set for Sept. 15, 17 and 18.
The program includes both classroom and on-cycle instruction. Motorcycles and helmets will be provided for student use during the course.
Enrollment is limited, and advance registration is required. Tuition is $95.
Motorcycle riders under the age of 21 must successfully complete this course to become eligible for a motorcycle endorsement on their Oregon operator’s license. The state department of motor vehicles will waive motorcycle examinations for course graduates.
For registration information, and for details about the times and locations of the class sessions, call 800-545-9944 or visit the Team Oregon Web site: teamoregon.orst.edu.
