PAISLEY – Gilchrist rallied from a 24-20 deficit in the second game to pull out a victory en route to a three-game sweep of host Paisley in Skyline A League volleyball on Friday.
The Grizzlies, after winning the first game 25-15, stormed back to take the second game 26-24 and went on to win the third game 25-19.
”We’re trying to learn how to win and not play to lose,” said Gilchrist coach Rick Jenkins. ”We worked on some of those things in the second game.”
Michelle Henry went 15 of 16 serving with three aces and added five kills for the Grizzlies (8-2 league). Megan King had six kills, Roseanne Witt and Tosha Scevers had seven and six digs respectively, and Ashley Ernst dished out 14 assists.
Jenkins also noted the solid serve receive by his team throughout the match.
