Ruth Oretta Stephenson of Terrebonne died Thursday of natural causes. She was 84.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 4, at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Stephenson was born June 1, 1920, in Jay, Okla., to George and Cora (Alsbury) Black. She married Edward Stephenson.

Mrs. Stephenson was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking.

Survivors include three sons, George of La Pine, David of Oregon and Michael of Joshua Tree, Calif.; two daughters, Cora Kirk of Georgia and Mary Blackwell of Redmond; one sister, Rosetta Ashton of La Pine; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Redmond, Sisters and Grant County.

Deschutes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
