Michael A. Curry of Orient died Tuesday. He was 42.
The gathering will be held today at 1331 NE Marine Drive in Portland.
Mr. Curry was born Nov. 11, 1958, in Portland, to Robert and Raedene Curry. He was raised and educated in Portland, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1976.
He worked for Intel for eight years, then attended the Oregon Culinary College and graduated in 1978. He began working for LSI Logic Corporation, where he had worked for the past 20 years.
He married Darlene Kidner on Dec. 26, 1998, in Las Vegas.
They moved to Orient two years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene, and his children, Lisa, Jessica, James, Lawrence and Lillian, all of Gresham; his mother, Raedene Curry of Bend; one brother, Charlie of Bend; two sisters, Leslie Russell of Bend and Kathryn Curry of Los Angeles; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Liver Association.

Shirley Catherine (Francz) Vasquez-Scott of La Pine died of natural causes May 3. She was 65.
The private family service was held.
Mrs. Vasquez-Scott was born June 24, 1935, in Buffalo, N.Y. She lived in Southern California since she was a young girl, then moved to La Pine in 1993 upon retirement.
She married William Vasquez. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Vasquez-Scott worked as a registered nurse until retiring in 1993.
She was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori Livacich of San Clemente, Calif., and Margie Lyn Scott of Boise, Idaho; two sons, Michael Vasquez of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Larry Vasquez of Lake Forest, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Autumn Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
