Police bust THC-infused candy operation in Bend

Police say they busted a Bend operation that was making and selling illegal THC-infused candies bound for the black market.
The bust took place Jan. 24 in the 400 block of SE Franklin and the 1200 block of NW Discovery Park Drive. Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office deputies say they found a wide variety of marijuana-infused goods, ranging from food products to rosin, capsules and straight marijuana flower.
Police arrested Peter Nobel, 29, and Trischa Savino, also 29. Nobel was charged with three felonies, including manufacture of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful manufacture of a marijuana item and possession of a more than 8 pounds of marijuana. Savino was charged with a misdemeanor count attempted unlawful delivery of a marijuana item.
According to police, Nobel and Savino were producing candy products infused with THC for the black market.
Police seized equipment, 74 marijuana plants, 26 pounds of processed marijuana, 4,550 grams of marijuana concentrate, 3,870 grams of edibles, as well as marijuana liquids and seeds. Police also seized 335 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and psilocybin-infused edibles as well as $1,080 in cash.
