Here are the candidates for The Bulletin’s Athletes of the Week for Feb. 3-8 as nominated by local coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.

Girls
Piper Richwine, Summit basketball: In the Storm’s 53-44 win over Mountain View on Feb. 7, the sophomore guard finished with 14 points to help the Storm win their third consecutive Intermountain Conference game and 14th game of the season.
Kacy Wiederholt, Crook County basketball: In a matchup between the top two Tri-Valley Conference teams, the Cowgirls got a big outing out of the junior guard, who scored a game-high 16 points to help Crook County stay undefeated in conference play with a 39-35 win over The Dalles on Feb. 6.
Yadira Stacona, Madras basketball: In the White Buffaloes’ 73-12 win over Estacada on Feb. 3, the sophomore led Madras in scoring, finishing with a game-high 16 points, while also finishing with six steals on the defensive end.
Boys
Wyatt Horner, Redmond basketball: In the Panthers’ 62-61 win over No. 1 Caldera on Feb. 7, the junior wing turned in a double-double. Horner scored a team-high 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made the game-winning free throw with 0.5 seconds remaining.
Matthew Suppah-Scott, Madras basketball: In Madras’s 63-50 win over Estacada on Feb. 3, the junior post filled up the stat sheet. Suppah-Scott finished with a team-high 17 points while grabbing four rebounds, dishing out three assists and swiping three steals in the win.
JJ Browning, Redmond wrestling: In two dual meets last week, the senior 150-pounder won both his matches by pins against Crook County and Ridgeview to help Redmond win its second consecutive IMC Dual Meet Title.
