OSU-Cascades offers free tax preparation

Oregon State University-Cascades will host free tax preparation services for qualified families and individuals through April 15.
The program is offered through the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Appointments are available between 5 and 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays and noon and 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
OSU-Cascades faculty and staff, business students and community members are volunteering as tax preparers. Volunteers are fluent in Chinese, German, Spanish and Vietnamese. The program will assist families and individuals who have a household income of $65,000 or less, individuals with disabilities, those with limited English language and those who are 60 or older.
Returns will be processed on site during one hour and 45-minute sessions. For more information or to make an appointment, please visit beav.es/VITA. Clients will be informed about what to bring to appointments.
