McMenamins Old St. Francis School (700 NW Bond Street, Bend) typically hosts one concert per week, usually on Wednesday nights. The next couple of weeks, however, are busier. So here’s a roundup:

This weekend is the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, with the Cascade Highlanders Pipe Band roaming the grounds both Saturday and Sunday, local bands playing at O’Kanes, and four Portland bands – Bodhi Mojo and The Quick & Easy Boys Saturday night; Fog Holler and Trio Subtonic on Sunday – headlining Father Luke’s Room.

On Wednesday, March 20, local roots-rock band The Silvertone Devils will take over the venue’s usual Wednesday slot. Expect a combo of country, folk and more. Free. 6-9 p.m.

Coming up on McMenamins’ schedule: Longtime local band Sagebrush Rock on March 25, new local improv-funk band Biscuit Brigade Organ Trio on March 26 and local Grateful Dead tribute band Call Down Thunder on March 27, which is my dad’s birthday. Happy birthday, Dad! I got you a Grateful Dead tribute band playing a concert 2,300 miles from your home.
