Elvis Costello, Daryl Hall tour coming to Hayden Homes Amphitheater

Two giants of ’70s and ’80s rock, Daryl Hall and Elvis Costello & The Impostors with Charlie Sexton, are sharing the coheadlining slot on a summer tour that will bring them to Bend’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater on Saturday, June 8.

Hall scarcely needs an introduction as one-half of the long-running soul-pop duo Hall & Oates scored hit upon hit through the abovementioned decade, including “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List” and of course “You Make My Dreams (Come True).” Last year, Hall embarked on a solo tour with fellow Hall of Famer Todd Rundgren, new season of his award-winning “Live from Daryl’s House” show launched in November on his YouTube channel.

Costello hit the ground running in the 1970s, his deep catalog including “Radio, Radio,” “Oliver’s Army” and “Veronica,” to name just a few of his songs. Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton’s recent tours have earned great reviews, with The Nashville Scene saying in January that “Costello is proving he’s an indefatigable force of nature and one of the greatest showmen in the history of rock ’n’ roll.” On the road, guitarist Sexton joins forces with Costello’s band, featuring Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher.

Bend is just the fourth stop on the tour, which starts in Troutdale on June 2.

“We are looking forward to kicking off the show in style in the certainty that Daryl will deliver a slam-bang finish,” Costello said in a press release.
