The U.S. Olympic team is one of a handful that will supply air conditioners for their athletes at the Paris Games in a move that undercuts organizers’ plans to cut carbon emissions.

U.S. Olympic and Paralympic CEO Sarah Hirshland says while the U.S. appreciates efforts aimed at sustainability, the federation would be supplying AC units for what is typically the largest contingent of athletes at the Summer Games.

BASKETBALL

The Las Vegas Aces became the first team in league history to sell out each of their 20 regular-season home games, the club announced Thursday. The 2022 and 2023 WNBA champions previously became the first team in league history to sell out its season-ticket memberships in March.

The Aces are attempting to become the first team to win three straight championships since the Houston Comets did it from 1997 to 2000.
