Shari's Cafe and Pies on Bend's north side, shown Oct. 21, has permanently closed.

The Pacific Northwest restaurant chain Shari’s Cafe & Pies has closed both its Bend locations, just days after closing its Redmond location.

The diner chain, which began in Hermiston in 1978, has shuttered more than a dozen of its 95 locations across Oregon, Washington and Idaho in recent months. The closure appears to be permanent, based on a sign posted at one of the Bend locations that says, “closed for good.”
