Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend was recently named one of the country’s most sustainable live venues by entertainment company Live Nation.
The amphitheater was recognized for having the second highest diversion rate for boutique venues for diverting more than 97 tons of waste in 2024, according to the Old Mill District, which operates the amphitheater.
Live Nation also recognized the amphitheater for its ability to reduce waste produced by venue attendees. In 2024, Hayden Homes Amphitheater users produced an average of just 1.6 ounces of landfill waste each. That’s the second lowest in the country, according to Live Nation. The amphitheater was also first among all venues in bottle and can recycling.
The amphitheater launched its sustainability program in 2017 focusing on waste reduction and management within the venue, according to the Old Mill District’s statements.
Hayden Homes Amphitheater is a riverfront amphitheater in Bend’s Old Mill District. The 8,000-person venue hosts concerts and other events.
