Here are the candidates for The Bulletin’s Athletes of the Week for April 21-26 as nominated by local coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.

Girls

Annie Brisbois, Madras softball: Brisbois scored two runs in the White Buffaloes’ 7-5 loss to Molalla on April 24. The senior center fielder is hitting .350 with six stolen bases this season.

Brooklyn Lick, Ridgeview softball: On April 25, the senior infielder hit two home runs and drove in all three runs in the Ravens’ 3-0 victory over Summit to help Ridgeview win its 15th game in a row and remain undefeated on the season.

Sydney Schreiber, La Pine track: At the Rob Allen Twilight Invitational on April 25, Schreiber ran the fastest Class 3A time in the 100-meter hurdles this season with a time of 15.95 seconds.

Boys

Max Voige, Caldera tennis: With a singles win last week against Summit, Voige earned his 13th win of the season, which is tied for the most 5A wins this year.

Mika Nader, Bend tennis: The sophomore won both his matches last week in straight sets competing as the Lava Bears’ No. 1 player in duals against Caldera and Redmond. Nader improved to 13-1 on the season and 5-0 in IMC play.

Gabe Love, Crook County track: At the Mazama Invitational on April 26, Love won both the 100 meters (11.07 seconds) and the 200 (22.12) while throwing a season-best in the javelin (184 feet, 3 inches) to finish second.
