The votes are in for the Bulletin’s Athletes of Week for Week 5 of the fall season.

Andres Rosales, a junior forward on the Crook County soccer team, and Grace Romero, a junior midfielder on the Mountain View girls soccer team, were voted by Bulletin readers as the boys and girls Athletes of the Week.

Rosales was nominated by Crook County coach Bryan Housley after Rosales had an assist in Crook County’s 2-2 tie with Gladstone on Sept. 25, and scored the Cowboys’ lone goal in their 1-1 tie with Estacada on Sept. 27.

Romero was nominated by Mountain View coach Madison Shore after scoring the lone goal in the Cougars’ 1-0 win over Summit on Sept. 28. The win was not only Mountain View’s fifth in a row, but it was also the Cougars first win over the Storm since 2009.

A new batch of nominations will be announced on Mondays. Local players are nominated for the honor by coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.
