A Bend massage provider was arrested earlier this month in the alleged sexual assault of a customer at May Spa, according to police, who are seeking additional potential victims.

On July 14, the Oregon State Police Major Crimes Section began investigating alleged sexual abuse at the May Spa at 547 NE Bellevue Drive in Bend after a person said she was sexually assaulted by her masseuse during a routine massage session, state police said in a news release Friday.

Following an undercover operation with the assistance of the alleged victim on Sept. 15, police arrested  Jianming Tang, 45. He is charged with third-degree sexual abuse and practicing massage without a license, according to a charging document filed Monday in Deschutes County Circuit Court.

To report any similar incidents, Oregon State Police encourage potential victims to contact the state dispatch center at 541-726-2525 or to contact Oregon State Police in reference to case number SP23-216409, the news release said.
