A 74-year old Central Oregon man was killed after he crashed his motorcycle into another vehicle after running a stop sign at the intersection of Knott and China Hat roads in Bend on Friday morning, Bend Police said.
Ronald Michael Quinn was identified as the victim in the 9:45 a.m. crash, according to an email from Sheila Miller, Bend Police spokesperson.

Quinn was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle northwest on China Hat Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign, crashing into the passenger side of a blue Tesla sedan driving northeast on Knott Road, Miller told The Bulletin.
The Tesla Driver, a 67-year-old Bend resident, called 911 to report the crash. He was not cited and cooperated with police, she said. Police have not identified him by name.
“The driver of the Tesla, there is no indication of intoxication on that person’s part,” Miller said. “I don’t know about the motorcyclist…and since it appears the motorcyclist was at fault, I am not sure we would follow up on intoxication on that person. At his point, there is no indication of that.”
Witnesses in the area and Bend Fire & Rescue medics gave the motorcyclist CPR, but he died at approximately 9:54 a.m., Miller said.
