Bend police believe ‘no criminal wrongdoing’ in death of local woman

No foul play was involved in the death of a woman who was found injured in a road in Bend on Monday morning and later died, police said Thursday.
Bend Police are still awaiting the final report from the Oregon State Police Medical Examiner regarding the death of Jeri Lynn Davies, 51, of Bend, according to a press release from police spokeswoman Sheila Miller.

But police say they have completed their investigation and “believe there is no criminal wrongdoing associated with Davies’ death,” Miller said.
Davies was found lying in the road with “multiple injuries” on NE Second Street near DeKalb Avenue. She died at St. Charles Bend around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police say.
Police investigated her death after announcing in a news release that it was “suspicious.”
Davies experienced homelessness and often sought help at the Lighthouse Navigation Center, a nearby homeless shelter on Second Street.
