Traveling from Central Oregon to the bright lights and slot machines of Las Vegas is about to get easier. 

Avelo Airlines announced Thursday the addition of direct flights between Redmond Airport and Las Vegas. Boeing 737 flights between the two cities will start Sept. 7 and operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.

Palm Springs, too: Avelo to add direct service to Palm Springs from Redmond

 

On Friday, Avelo will begin twice-weekly nonstop service between Redmond and Sonoma County operating on Mondays and Fridays.

Redmond Municipal Airport Director Zachary Bass said in a release that the new routes “amplify the flight options between Redmond and four popular west coast destinations. Our facilities and staff are ready for continued growth that efforts such as Avelo’s allow us to provide.”
