Vince Genna Stadium has a new field of dreams

The boys of summer have arrived in Central Oregon for another season of Bend Elks baseball at Vince Genna Stadium. And when the team opens its season Friday evening against the Wenatchee AppleSox, they’ll be doing it on a new FieldTurf infield. The new field of dreams — remember, these are college players dreaming of the big leagues — was installed in November and cost $300,000, team officials said Thursday.
