Brother Ali

It’s a very busy music week throughout Central Oregon. Here’s a quick roundup of some highlights:

The second annual Steampunk Music Festival is set for this weekend at the Rosland Campground in La Pine. Acts playing the event include Balkan Bump, High Step Society, Spunj, The Mostets, Leadbetter Band, with workshops, a family zone and late-night silent discos planned, too. Fans of high-quality rap music: Underground giant Brother Ali returns to town Wednesday for an evening of hard-hitting beats, thoughtful rhymes and hip-hop as activism. He’s a local favorite, but if you don’t know him, just know that he’s one of the best out there doing it. More info: volcanictheatre.com.

Name your album “Country Fuzz” and I’m in. The Cadillac Three are a country-rock band from Nashville that sounds like they could be the next Florida-Georgia Line. Before they are, you can catch ‘em at Silver Moon Thursday night. More info: silvermoonbrewing.com.

Elk Lake Resort’s popular summer Music on the Water concert series kicks off Saturday with Idaho singer-songwriter Darian Reneé. The music starts at 5 p.m. between the lodge and the lake. More info, including the full series lineup, is at elklakeresort.net.
